Erbeko NV is an engineering and design office specialized in energy projects in industry and for large public and service sector buildings. These projects mainly consist of energy screening and/or complete engineering of special techniques (such as HVAC & R, electricity, utilities, phone and data, security, ...). Recently, we also added light engineering and the design of lighting concepts to our activities.
The energy projects are mainly carried out for industrial companies (food industry, packaging, paper, textile, ... ), in the service sector (banks, retirement & care homes (RCHs), theatres, hotels, social housing, schools, ...) and the residential sector (public buildings, apartment buildings, ...). There are also engineering projects resulting from screening activities.
Erbeko carry out their energy screening projects in the same sectors. For this, the company uses a whole range of measuring instruments it has available in-house. Under the motto “measuring is knowing”, an important budget is set aside each year for the purchase and maintenance of measuring instruments with digital registration functionalities for the measurement of, a/o, liquid flow rates (ultrasonic), light (lux, lumen), (differential) pressure, electricity (current, voltage, resistance, cos φ), air speed, relative humidity, temperature, compressed air leaks, exhaust gas analysis (incl. NOX)), ...
In 2000, Erbeko also became active on the international market (in the new EU-countries) for western companies who have branches or are planning a takeover in these countries. These are usually screening activities, whereby a technical and energy analysis is carried out of the energy installations, resulting in a master plan, including a cost/profit analysis. The screening report is a valuable instrument that can be used by decision-makers when planning immediate or future investments.
Erbeko are the holder of the Q*For label and are a certified advisory organization. Within the framework of the Benchmark Covenant, both Managing Directors were accepted as official consultants, and Erbeko have carried out 6 successful energy screening projects until now. For the Audit Covenant, on the other hand, an energy plan will be made by the end of 2006 for 20 company sites. Erbeko are also approved to act as energy expert for the Walloon Region.
Finally, the liberalization of the energy market is also followed-up closely and advising large energy consumers is part of the core competencies.
Erbeko, whose corporate slogan is “Always a Joule ahead” combined with “Energy audits, engineering & lighting” was founded in 1994. The company is managed by Andries Gryffroy (Managing Director) and Bart Verplancke (Managing Director), works with 10 people and is located in Merelbeke.
